Hugging, kissing, and other physical contact: If you dare. Strong possibility of catching a right hook if she doesn't know you and, even then, safety isn't guaranteed.

Flirting: One of two things may happen. Either she'll shoot it down with words that burn like hot coals or, worse, she'll flirt back.

Fighting: Go for it. She lives to fight.

Injuring: Knock yourself out. Oni doesn't have a glass jaw. She can (pardon the pun) take a licking and keep on ticking, but she's not impervious to harm. On the contrary, she spends much of her time on the mend.

Killing: Ask first. Otherwise, don't be surprised if it doesn't stick.

Telepathy: Ask first. Oni hasn't a single defense against telepathy; she may not even realize she's being read, but she isn't human, and her mind has suffered enough damage that following her fragmented thoughts is difficult at best and may be hazardous for novices.

Magic: Yes, though be aware that she can vaguely sense some magic (as it relates to the Wyld.) Even if she has no earthly idea what's happening, she'll know that something is happening and may react with suspicion.

You'd need only meet Oni once to know that she speaks French; It was her first language, and she often relapses into it, particularly when she's angry, excited, or inebriated. What most people don't realize, however, is that Oni is multilingual-- Beyond French and English, she grew up speaking several Native American & Native Canadian languages, including Seneca and Cayuga, two Iroquois languages which were passed on from her mother through her father. She's also fluent in Ojibwe, because they were her neighbors, and, to a lesser extent, Cree. Oni was raised among the Anishinaabek, a group of people from reasonably similar cultures who spoke the same dialect; She knows their songs and dances, and understands their culture better than her own.

This shouldn't suggest, however, that she fit in with the Anishinaabek of Nipissing. Oni's relationship with the First Peoples is complicated. They called her Ikwesis Mahingan, or "wolf girl", because they considered her to be frightful. And since many believed that she was the obstacle keeping her father from marrying into the tribe, she was often mistreated when Monsieur Girard wasn't watching. Despite this, Oni and her father took vengeance against the Mohawk when the Nipissing were attacked during the French and Indian War.

Oni knew they were waiting for her before she'd so much as taken the stairs to her apartment, she just didn't know why. The pack's two philodoxes, Eyota and Nasir, had gone up to the Sept on the solstice to attend a kind of informal moot for half-moon's. No pack business, they assured her, and she'd taken their word for it. As she opened her door and saw them standing there, packed like canned sardines in her living space, it occurred to her that either something had come up during their visit, or she'd been deliberately misled.

"What is it?" she asked, cutting straight to the chase. Eyota looked the same as ever, but Nasir had his arms crossed over his chest and was rocking back-and-forth on his heels; He's hung around long enough for Oni to read his body language, and this meant the Half-moon strider was feeling antsy.

"There's a rumor going around the Sept that you've killed a caern in central Ontario," Nasir told her, "Probably just some Wendigo stirring up trouble for you. It'll blow over."

"I never kill caerns," she said, with a dismissive shrug, ( "I just stop them from being born." )
